Since it’s already 2013, I’ll be talking about my favorite hobby during the past year, WATCHING KOREAN DRAMAS.
I’ve watched quite a lot of dramas the past year, so it’s hard for me to choose the top 10. Basically, this is based on my taste of dramas.
If you happen to read my post and you wondered why didn’t I include some mainstream dramas like BIG, GAKSITAL, FAITH, and others that made you waver while watching, I’m sorry I didn’t find time to watch those. Sometimes, I get so hooked with a drama that I don’t care about watching others that air at the same time as what I’m watching though I know those dramas are one of the best.
Then let’s get this started.
10. MISSING YOU (I MISS YOU)

Just knowing the stars included in this drama made me put it in my list of what I should sought after. Of course, I’m a bit bias since it’s MICKY YOOCHUN’s drama (I’ve loved him since I was 14!). I love Yoon Eunhye as well. Her dramas such as Goong, My Fair Lady, and Lie To Me were all my favorite as well. Micky and Eunhye in one drama —— made me scream like a wild boar! This is just so amazing!
Yoo Seungho also added thrill. That handsome boy has now became a man. After watching him in his small role as the Jade Emperor in Arang and the Magistrate, I thought this drama gave him a good role. (Speaking of Arang and the Magistrate, I wanted to put it in my top 10 but I settled with Micky dramas. I’m sorry…)
This drama made me feel frustration, anger, depression and happiness at the same time. Warning, if you haven’t watched this drama and you wanna watch it, please prepare lots of tissues for it will make you cry from episode 1.
9. FULL HOUSE TAKE 2

The second Full House! Honestly, the time I saw the first episodes, I thought I was gonna be disappointed> However, I was wrong. This drama made me spazz every episode on my Twitter account. Yes, nothing can beat the first Full House, but let us not compare this with that one. Treat this as a different drama.
No Minwoo and Park Ki Hoon might not be the best candidate to be in a BOYGROUP since they aren’t dancers as what they admitted, but yeah, they proved and gave justice to their roles. This drama made me like Hwang Jung Eum as well. I hope to see her having more lead roles in the future.
I like one person a lot in this drama —- LEE SEUNGHYO — playing Bae Go Dong, the road manager who became an idol. He’s role is just so lovable!
8. ROOFTOP PRINCE

I watched this drama because of Micky Yoochun, of course. But his three retainers Yongsul, Manbo and Chisan (Lee Minho, Choi Wooshik, and Jung Sukwon) made me watch it more!
My tears are falling because of laughter while watching this drama. Who wouldn’t laugh if the people from Choseon Dynasty suddenly came to the present time with all the high-technology?
I love the drama’s twist from comedy in their first episodes to drama in their last episodes. If you still haven’t watched this drama, watch it now!
7. CHEONGDAMDONG ALICE

This drama is still airing right now. I still don’t know what the ending will be. however, this drama deserves to be in my list.
I was never a Park Siwoo fan, but this drama transformed me to become one. His role could fit well with my favorite leading man, Kang Jihwan, but he was casted right. I saw a different side of him in this drama.
Moon Geunyoung, she chooses her projects well.
This drama makes the viewers believe that you can put a fairytale into reality. It reminds me a lot about my childhood as well… Alice in Wonderland, Candy, and my most favorite love story.. Daddy Long Legs.
6. LOVE RAIN

This drama didn’t receive much ratings in Korea because of the competition among dramas in it’s time slot, but to foreign fans, this received much love.
I just couldn’t put everything into words but when I’m asked about this drama, all I remember well was EPISODE 10 —- the fountain kiss! (OMO! Jang Geunseok is such a good kisser! I know many of you will agree with me).
Geunseok and Yoona has a good chemistry. Though a lot of Geunseok fans do not want Yoona for him. But this drama send chills to your bones and your spines! You would need a huge teddy bear or pillow while watching this. You would need not just to hug your pillow but even bite it because of the GIGGLING factor that it gives you.
5. TIME SLIP DR. JIN

Another time travel drama. One thing that made me watch this drama is it’s MEDICAL part. I am a nurse and I was amazed how they put present knowledge about medicine in the Choseon Dynasty.
And as I always mention, I am a true-blooded Cassiopeia so I would really watch this drama becasue of Jaejoong. I am very happy to say that I AM SO PROUD OF YOU KIM JAEJOONG. I love his role, I love how he played it, I love how he gave justice to it. Though it was really new to me seeing him on a horse, riding it, shooting people, kicking assess, and even CRYING for his father! Jaejoong was just amazing in this drama! He really deserves his Best Newcomer Award in MBC Entertainment Awaards. *baksuchyeo!*
With Song Seunghun, Park Minyoung, and also my favorite character Jin Yihan, this drama didn’t slip.
4. DREAM HIGH 2

If you compare the first Dream High to the second one, you’ll say that the second one does not have the depth like the first. The plot of the second one is shallow.
Though it’s like that, I enjoyed this drama a lot. I don’t know but maybe I feel like I could relate to the characters of this drama more than the first one. (But the first one is really daebak though — nothing can change my love for that drama!)
Maybe i could relate on Kang Sora’s role for trying so hard to be an idol, or to Jinwoon who said, “I didn’t mean to like you. Feelings are uncontrollable.”
JB and Sora just have this inexplanable chemistry between them. And I just couldn’t resist JB’s eye smile. Surprisingly, I became more of a fan of the Gminor Couple Jinwoon and Jiyeon. I was very excited in each of their scenes though towards the end, there was no clear scene where in they ended up together but it’s for us (their shippers0 to think of the possibilities.
I just love musicals a lot! Their musical parts are nice, and the OST are just so loveable. My favorite was the “B class Song” and the song Hyorin sang with Kim Jisoo in a performance.
3. QUEEN INHYUN’S MAN

The real life couple Ji Hyunwoo and Yoo InAh made this drama realistic to the viewers. Though it’s a time travel drama once again, this is THE BEST TIME TRAVEL DRAMA OF 2012.
Though they aren’t together yet during the time this drama was shot, and aired. Might be, us viewers, we felt the love sparkling within them that pulled us to watch it in each of it’s episode.
Ji Hyunwoo’s stare..it’s just so magical! It’s seems like he’s dreaming. Their kissing scenes are also the best parts of this drama *THE TIPTOE KISS BECAME FAMOUS BECAUSE OF THIS!*
There are a lot more to say, but it’s better to feel it. Even listening to it’s OST makes me reminisce the moments while watching this epic drama.
2. INNOCENT MAN (NICE GUY)

I am actually supposed to put this as the TOP ONE> You know that I’m a Micky Yoochun fan, right? Micky’s drama aired before the last two episodes of this drama, and I refused to watch Micky’s drama’s first episodes for I didn’t want to lose the thrilled feeling I have while watching this.
This drama made my and it’s viewers think a lot. What the possible ending? and the writer gave us a very good ending. Something that we were satisfied with. *I was so glad it didn’t turned out like Fashion King*
Song Joongki and Moon Chaewon is such a good pair that we fans wanted them to be together in real life, or even just more dramas together again. *we cross our fingers for that*
The conflict and the emotions in this drama are so heavy, that you will even feel them while watching it. It is not a tear-jerker drama like Missing You but it’ll make you cry with all those emotions in you heart that you wanna burst out.
1. A GENTLEMAN’S DIGNITY

And my number one drama is.. A GENTLEMAN’S DIGNITY. OMG! This is the most epic romantic-comedy drama I’ve ever watched. Who would think that four 40-year-old men would actually made teens and young adults giggle like there is no tomorrow?
Four cute ove stories in one. This is so memorable!
i also love the parts in each episode where they reminisce past events. And the cameos —- I love Girls Generation’s Sooyoung and CN Blue’s Jung Yonghwa’s cameo appearances. Those are really “SARAITTNE!!”
Jang Dong-geun and Kim Haneul — they had been in the industry for such a long time. yes, they are old, but watching them is like watching young idols and actors on screen.
CN Blue’s Jonghyun and model-actor Kim Woobin also added spice in this drama!
AMAZING! AWESOME! DAEBAK!
i would really want to mention other dramas that I love like REPLY 1997, To The beautiful You, Arang and the Magistrate, School 2013, etc. But I only have to choose 10, and these are my choices. I hope you agree with me.
Keep watching dramas! till next time!
